Do not perform any procedure in this instruction until you have read all of the information and you understand all of the information.Note: Replacement of the gear is recommended when the sleeve bearing is replaced.
Engine damage can occur if the bearings are not within the tolerances. Make sure that the bearing meets the specifications given in this instruction.
Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly Manual for instructions on removing and on installing the sleeve bearing.Note: Refer to the Parts Manual for the part numbers for the bearings.After the sleeve bearing is installed in the gear, machine the inside diameter to the correct size.Cluster Idler Gear

Install gear (3) onto chuck (2) for machining. Ensure that the gear is square on the chuck.

Use lathe (4) to turn the bearing.
