Measure the distance of dimension T1. Compare this dimension to the dimension that is listed in Table 4. If the dimension is out of tolerance, it will be necessary to adjust the side plates by using mechanical force or by using heat. Reference Illustration 9 and Table 4.Note: Dimension "S" should be used for reference only. Dimension "T" is the most critical dimension. This dimension will determine whether the bowl will assemble to the bulldozer.

( 1 ) This is the dimension for the machined surface of the lever bracket.
( 2 ) This is the dimension for the cast surface of the lever bracket.
Measure the distance from point "U" to the centerline of the bowl. Measure the distance from both of the lever brackets to the centerline of the bowl. Try to equalize this measurement and try to maintain the dimension T1. This will keep the lever bracket and the side plate perpendicular with the floor of the bowl. This will also allow the bulldozer to fit evenly between the bowl sides.

Before adjusting the side plates on the bowl, prepare braces to be installed after the adjustment is completed. Use a bar that has adequate strength for the braces. Do not weld on the corner bar. For installation, reference Illustration 10.
If heating the bowl is not required, install the braces to the bowl in order to sustain the dimension "T".
