Introduction
The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.Problem
On some F-Series Backhoe Loader machines, steering performance may be momentarily reduced when operating loader functions. This problem can happen in a range of applications and environments. This problem is most noticeable at low joystick inputs, low engine speed, and high steering load.Required Parts

Ensure the priority valve orifice (installed in the Loader inlet valve) is not contaminated. Contamination can prevent the LS signal from the steering pump from reaching the hydraulic pump control.
If the priority valve orifice as been confirmed to be clear, operate the loader function, performing a slow loader arm lower function, and at the same time operate the steering. If steering is found to be hard to operate, replace the loader valve compensator spools.Note: The compensator spools are behind the middle tie rod. The middle tie rod can be removed from the loader valve by locking two 8T-0389 Locknuts together and unscrewing the rod from the valve. There is then enough clearance to remove the compensator spools from the valve without removing the valve from the machine. Ensure that the machine is in a safe position with the hydraulic oil pressure released before performing this task.Note: DO NOT start the machine with the tie rod loose or removed. This action can result in damaged and leaking O-rings between each loader valve slice resulting in having to remove the complete valve for resealing.
