Illustration 1 g01904537The engine in this machine is equipped with two engine crankcase breathers (1) at the rear of the engine. One breather is on the right side of the flywheel housing and one breather is on the left side of the flywheel housing.
Prepare the machine for maintenance. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Prepare the Machine for Maintenance".
Remove bolts from the clamps at the base of the breathers. Loosen the hose clamps.
Remove the breathers from the hoses.
Remove and discard the old breather gaskets. Breather gaskets must be replaced any time the joint is disturbed.
Wash the breathers in clean nonflammable solvent.
Install the new breather gaskets.
Install the hoses and hose clamps on the breathers. Install the clamps at the base of the breathers.
Tighten all the clamps.
