Remove backup ring (24) and O-ring seal (25) from seat (27) .
Remove spring (26) .
Remove poppet (23) .

Remove plug (7) , plug (5) , and plug (2) . Remove the O-ring seals from the plugs.

Remove O-ring seal (22) from relief valve (15) .Note: The O-ring seals and the backup rings are the only serviceable parts of the relief valve.

Note: The setting of the relief valve must not be changed. Mark the position of the setscrew before you disassemble the relief valve.
Loosen nut (55) . Count the number of turns while you remove setscrew (57) . Remove nut (55) from the setscrew. Remove O-ring seal (58) from the setscrew.
Remove spring (60) and poppet (62) .
Remove plug (64) . Remove backup ring (69) and O-ring seal (70) . Remove O-ring seal (68) .
Remove spring (59) , poppet (61) , spring (63) , and seat (65) . Remove backup ring (67) and O-ring seal (66) from seat (65) .
Remove valve (56) from valve housing (71) .

Sudden release of spring force can cause injury.To prevent the possibility of injury, follow the procedure to relieve the spring pressure.
Slowly loosen bolts (16) in order to release the spring pressure. Remove bolts (16) . Remove cover (17) .

Remove seat (18) . Remove O-ring seal (19) from seat (18) .Note: Stem (28) is nonserviceable.
Remove spring (20) , guide (21) , and stem (28) .

Use a suitable lifting device in order to reposition valve housing (35) , as shown. The weight of the valve housing is 36 kg (80 lb).
Remove plug (32) . Remove the O-ring seal from plug (32) .
