An engine oil pressure event can be generated by either the engine ECM or the EMCP 4, depending on the configuration of the EMCP 4. The engine oil pressure sensor can be configured for either datalink or sensor. If the oil pressure sensor is configured for datalink, the oil pressure event can be generated by either the engine ECM or the EMCP 4. The event may also be generated by both of the ECMs. If the oil pressure sensor is configured for sensor, the oil pressure event can be generated by one or more of the analog inputs.Only low warning and low shutdown events are supported for engine oil pressure. If configured for CAN 1 datalink, the engine ECM will monitor the oil pressure and send a message to the EMCP 4 for low oil pressure warning and shutdown events.
