Assembly Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision components. All disassembly and all assembly procedures must be performed on a clean work surface and in a clean area. Keep cleaned parts covered and protected at all times.

Install retainer (19) , spring (20) , poppet (21) , sleeve (22) , slug (23) and snap ring (24) in spool assembly (15) .
Install spool assembly (15) , spring (16) , stop (18) and adjuster assembly (17) to a torque of 25 4 N m (18.0 3.0 lb ft).

Note: O-rings, gaskets, and seals should always be replaced. A used O-ring may not have the same sealing properties as a new O-ring. A reconditioning procedure should not be degraded because of a low cost component such as an O-ring or a gasket. Use 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound during the assembly procedure.
Install O-ring seals (14) on cartridge assembly (10) .
Install coil (11) , washer (12) , and nut (13) . Tighten nut (13) to a torque of 20 2.5 N m (15.0 1.0 lb ft).
Install solenoid assembly (9) in the priority valve. Tighten solenoid assembly (9) to a torque of 50 5 N m (37.0 4.0 lb ft).

Install O-rings (4) , (5) and (7) .
Install dowel (8) and ball (6) .
Install valve assembly (3) in priority valve (2) .

Install O-rings (1) .End By: Install the priority valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Priority Valve - Install".
