MOUNTING G- 8T0957 - Caterpillar

There is no clearance for a man when turning the vehicle. When the machine is to be lifted, transported on another vehicle, or service work is being performed near the center of machine, connect the anti-pivot link that is between the front and rear frames to keep the machine in the straight ahead position. Before operation and when operating, be sure the anti-pivot link that is located near the lower center of the machine is disconnected and pinned to the retaining plates.
1. Remove the cotter pins that hold pins (1) and (2) in place.2. Remove pins (1) and (2) from the anti-pivot link.3. Slide anti-pivot link (3) back into its storage position.4. Install pins (1) and (2) in the original positions and install the cotter pins. The following steps are for the connection of the anti-pivot link.5. Remove the cotter pins and pins (1) and (2).6. Slide link (3) into the locked position. Make an alignment of the bores in the main frames with the bores in the link.7. Install pins (1) and (2) and the cotter pins that hold them in place.
