Park the machine on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
Stop the engine and allow the secondary steering accumulators to discharge completely before the oil level is observed.
Maintain the oil level to the full mark in upper sight gauge (1).
If necessary, add oil.
Do not fill the steering hydraulic tank when the engine is running. Discharge from the secondary steering accumulators could overfill the tank when the engine is stopped.
Note: After the engine start-up, the oil level should be within the operating range of lower sight gauge (2). If the oil level in the lower sight gauge is low, check the secondary steering. See Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Secondary Steering - Check" for additional information.
