Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Remove hose assemblies (1) and the O-ring seals from each ripper lift cylinder.

Attach a suitable lifting device to transmission guard (7). Remove bolts (6). Remove nuts, washers, and bolts (2). Remove transmission guard (7) from the machine. The weight of transmission guard (7) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).
Attach a suitable lifting device to ripper lift cylinder (4). Remove the bolts, the plate, and pins (5) and (3). Remove ripper lift cylinder (4) from the machine. The weight of ripper lift cylinder (4) is approximately 159 kg (350 lb).
Repeat Step 3 for the remaining ripper lift cylinder.

Remove bolts (8) and the washers. Use two people to remove bottom transmission guard (9) from the machine. The weight of transmission guard (9) is approximately 37 kg (82 lb).

Remove plugs (10) from the ripper frame.

Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device in the ripper frame.
Remove two bolts (11) and plate (12) from both sides of the ripper frame. Remove pivot pin (13) from both sides of the ripper frame.
Remove the ripper frame from the machine. The weight of the ripper frame is approximately 900 kg (2000 lb).Installation Procedure

Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device on the ripper frame. Install the ripper frame. The weight of the ripper frame is approximately 900 kg (2000 lb).
Install pin (13) on both sides of the ripper frame. Install plate (12) and bolts (11) on both sides of the ripper frame.
Support the ripper frame with a jack stand. Remove the suitable lifting device and Tooling (A) .

Install plugs (10) on the ripper frame.

Use two people to install bottom transmission guard (9) on the machine. The weight of bottom transmission guard (9) is approximately 37 kg (82 lb). Install the washers and bolts (8) .

Use a suitable lifting device in order to install ripper lift cylinder (4). The weight of ripper lift cylinder (4) is approximately 159 kg (350 lb).
Install pins (3) and (5). Install the plate and the bolts that hold pin (5) to the ripper frame.
Repeat Step 6 for the remaining ripper lift cylinder.
Use a suitable lifting device in order to install transmission guard (7) on the machine. The weight of transmission guard 7 is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).
Install bolts (2), the washers, and the nuts. Install bolts (6). Remove the suitable lifting device from transmission guard (7) .

Install hose assemblies (1) and the O-ring seals to the ripper lift cylinder on both sides of the ripper frame.End By:
Install the ripper carriage. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Ripper Carriage - Remove and Install".
Install the ripper tilt cylinders. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Ripper Tilt Cylinder - Remove and Install".
