Park the machine on a smooth, level surface. Lower all implements to the ground. Turn the key switch to the OFF position. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Remove seven screws (1) that retain the console cover.
Remove the two connectors on the back of the former speedometer.
Remove former speedometer (2) .
Attach the two connectors to the back of the new 196-4217 Speedometer As .
Install the new 196-4217 Speedometer As. Use a 131-1424 Seal between the 196-4217 Speedometer As and the console cover.
Install the console cover and seven screws (1) .
