Start By:
Release the hydraulic system pressure.
Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.
Loosen the track. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track - Check/Adjust".

Remove the hydraulic tank cap and install Tooling (A). Apply 276 kPa (40 psi) to 414 kPa (60 psi) of air pressure to Tooling (A).

Disconnect hose assemblies (2) from lift cylinder (1).

Attach a suitable lifting device to lift cylinder (1). The weight of lift cylinder (1) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb). Remove pins (3) and (4).
Remove lift cylinder (1).
Repeat this procedure for the opposite side. Installation Procedure
Install lift cylinder (1) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (B) to the pin bores of lift cylinder (1) prior to installation.
Tighten the track. Refer to Operation and Maintenance, "Track - Check/Adjust". Disassembly and Assembly Information

When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

lubricate the sealing lip of seal (1) with the lubricant being sealed.
Lubricate the sealing lips of seals (2) with the lubricant being sealed.
Use Tooling (D) in order to install bearing (3) to a depth of 6.5 8 mm (0.26 0.31 inch).
Tighten screws (4) to a torque of 23 3 N m (204 27 lb in).
Tighten piston assembly (5) to a torque of 450 25 N m (332 18 lb ft).
Apply Tooling (C) to the threads of head assembly (6) prior to assembly. Tighten head assembly (6) to the following torque 600 130 N m (443 96 lb ft).
