MUFFLER 0082768 - Caterpillar

1. Use retarder and service brakes to stop machine. 2. Move transmission control lever to NEUTRAL and apply transmission neutral lock. 3. Lower bowl with slight down pressure and lower apron. 4. Move cushion hitch and bail control to LOCK DOWN-BAIL DOWN position. 5. Apply parking brake.
If necessary to stop on a grade, block wheels in addition to above.
Stopping the Engines
1. Operate engines at reduced load for 5 minutes.2. Reduce engines' speed to low idle for 30 seconds. 3. Push stop button, or move scraper engine governor control lever to off position, to stop scraper engine. 4. Lift toe of accelerator pedal to stop tractor engine. 5. Turn the tractor disconnect switch off and remove the key.LATER MACHINES 6. Turn the scraper disconnect switch off and remove the key.7. Lock all vandalism guards in place, and close and lock cab doors if leaving the machine.8. Fill the fuel tank at the end of the day to drive out moisture and sediment.
