Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Remove nut (3) from the stud on busbar (1). Disconnect wire (4).
Remove nuts (2) that secures busbar (1) to the glow plugs.
Remove busbar (1) from the glow plugs.

Clean the area around glow plugs (5). Ensure that the area is free from contamination before removal of the glow plugs.
Remove glow plugs (5) from cylinder head (6). Installation Procedure

Before installing glow plugs (5), ensure that the glow plugs are operating correctly. Ref to Trouble Shooting, "Glow Plug Starting Aid - Test" “Check the Operation of the Glow Plugs” for the correct procedure.
Ensure that the threads of the glow plugs are clean and free from damage. Replace any damaged glow plugs.
Install glow plugs (5) into cylinder head (6). Tighten the glow plugs to a torque of 15 N m (132 lb in).

Position busbar (1) onto glow plugs (5). Install nuts (2) onto the glow plugs.
Use Tooling (A) in order to tighten nuts (2) to a torque of 2 N m (17 lb in).
Connect the wire (4) to the stud on busbar (1).
Install nut (3) to the stud on busbar (1). Tighten the nut to a torque of 6 N m (53 lb in). Ensure that wire (4) is correctly positioned at 30 degrees prior to tightening the nut (3).
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
