The existing oil hoses are failing due to both heat exposure and abrasion.Solution
The new 419-9121 Hose As and 419-9122 Hose As are a direct replacement for the existing 280-1548 Hose As and 280-1549 Hose As . Refer to Table 1 for a list of parts needed to install the new hose assemblies.The removal procedure for existing hoses and the installation procedure for the new installing the new hose assemblies is shown below.

Remove the hose assemblies and mounting hardware indicated in Illustration 1.

Connect hoses (7) and (8) to the remote oil filter base.Note: New O-ring (6) must be used connecting hose (8) .
Route hoses (7) and (8) and secure the hoses to the bracket using clips (9), bolts (10), and washers (11) .Note: Bolts (10) and washers (11) were retained from the removal of the old parts.
Route hoses (7) and (8) toward the engine and secure the hoses using clips (15), bolts (16), and washers (17) .Note: Bolts (16) and washers (17) were retained from the removal of the old parts.
Install connector (14) into the oil line adapter. Connect the hoses to the connectors as shown.
Install grommets (12) and cable straps (13) as shown in Illustration 2.
