Install four bolts (1) and adapter plate (3).
Tighten four bolts (1) to a torque of 105 20 N m (77 15 lb ft).

Install three dowel pins (5).

Align and install the rubber coupling (6).Install three bolts (7).
Tighten three bolts (7) to a torque of 240 40 N m (177 30 lb ft).
Torque three bolts (7) uniformly and in small increments to prevent the coupling from flexing.

Install hub (8) into rubber coupling (6).Note: Rubber part can twist and damage as a result of friction between the bolt head and the vulcanized part. Use a suitable tool to apply counter pressure on the rubber element to prevent twisting during the tightening of the screws.
Install three bolts (9).
Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 240 40 N m (177 30 lb ft).
Torque three bolts (9) uniformly and in small increments. The coupling will flex as the bolts are torqued.

Slide the slotted end of the drive shaft (10) into the hub enough to line up the bolt holes on the pillow blocks and frame (11).
Use appropriate shims (12) to raise the pillow blocks (13) 5 mm (0.2 inch) and tighten four bolts (11). Then follow shaft alignment instructions.
Tighten four bolts (11) to a torque of 600 50 N m (443 37 lb ft).
Follow the following steps for shaft alignment.Note: The alignment procedure must be performed when the driveline is cold. (Engine is not still warm from running).Note: Before making any measurements for face or bore alignment, make sure all surfaces to be measured are free from dust, grease, paint, rust , and dirt. These agents will affect the alignment measurements.Note: The alignment procedure should be performed with the genset bolted in place with associated mounting hardware fully torqued.Note: Make sure that the fixture assembly, Tooling (B), and Tooling (E), are assembled to the base before proceeding with the alignment.

Use a laser alignment tool, such as the Optalign Smart RS5.
Mount Tooling (J).The Transducer (14) should always be on the stationary machine side (which is the engine in this case). The Transducer (14) will mount to the outer side (15) of the coupling element which is bolted to the engine shaft. The reflector (12) will mount on the shaft towards the radiator side (13).
Ensure connectivity between Tooling components.
Enter the following dimensions into Tooling (J).

Transducer (14) to Front Pillow Block Feet
Front Feet to Rear Pillow Block FeetNote: When, measuring the distance to the front and rear pillow blocks use the centers of the bolt holes.
Turn on laser and adjust the beam to the center on the reflector dust cap and remove the cap.
Rotate the drive line 90 degrees n the counter clockwise direction.Note: Use Tooling (K) to rotate the shaft.Note: Refer to the alignment tools user manual for operation and shimming instructions.
Use Tooling (E) to adjust the height of the drive.
Add or remove shims to achieve the vertical alignment within acceptable
