Description of Change: Changes have been made to the fan support, fan covers, fan motor cover, and tubes. The clip locations for the water lines have also been improved. Changes have also been made to the hoses, and clipping locations for the fan motor hydraulic lines. The new parts will prevent the fan from contacting the radiator that results in leaks.Adaptable To: Changes have been made to the following groups:

338-0001 Radiator Gp The changes are adaptable to machines LAJ1-265. The changes became effective in production with machines LAJ266-UP.A new special instruction is available for the 797F Off-Highway Truck. The special instruction provides the information that is needed to install the new parts in the above listed groups. The new parts will prevent the fan from contacting the radiator that results in leaks.The procedure should be done at the planned component rebuild for the engine, or when radiator removal is required.For a complete list of material and the correct procedure that is needed in order to update the cooling arrangement to the current configuration, refer to Special Instruction, REHS6088, "Field Procedure to Update the Cooling Arrangement on the 797F Off-Highway Truck". The special instruction can be found on the Caterpillar service information system (SIS) and through the normal literature distribution system at your local Cat dealer.
