The 142-2876 Engine Shutdown Timer failures may result in inoperative 136-9517 Engine Shutdown Solenoids.Solution:
When troubleshooting inoperative solenoids, check for proper voltage from the timer at the solenoid. Timer output voltage at the solenoid should be approximately 0.75 VDC less than battery voltage with the solenoid connected. Check the continuity of the wiring harness. Replace the 142-2876 Timer if is not supplying the correct voltage with the solenoid disconnected. Replace 136-9517 Solenoid if voltage is less than 9.5 volts with the solenoid connected.
