Assembly Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.
Install the core assembly inside the radiator frame. Secure the core assembly with bolts and hard washers.
Position the gasket on the mounting for the bottom tank assembly. Install the lower tank assembly on the radiator. Secure the tank assembly with bolts and hard washers.
Attach Tooling (A), a hoist and a suitable lifting device to the top of the tank. The weight of the tank is approximately 44 kg (97 lb).
Position a new gasket on the top tank mounting. Install the top tank assembly to the radiator. Secure the top tank assembly to the radiator with washers and bolts. End By:
