Information:
1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. The capacity of the system is 8 U.S. gal. (30 liter).2. Loosen clamps (1). Remove the bolts that hold elbow (2) to the cylinder head. Remove elbow (2). 3. Remove water temperature regulator (3) from the cylinder head.4. Install water temperature regulator (3) in the cylinder head with the spring toward the inside as shown.
If the water temperature regulator is installed wrong it will cause the engine to overheat.
5. Inspect the gasket for elbow (2) and make a replacement if necessary.6. Put elbow (2) in position and install the bolts to hold it. Connect the hose from the radiator top tank elbow to elbow (2) and tighten the clamps.7. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level.
