Accessing Active Diagnostic Codes
Illustration 1 g00859671
Typical ET screen for active diagnostic codesAfter the item "Implement Control D11" is selected, the item "Diagnostics" is selected from the drop-down menu. Then, select the "Active Diag. Codes" function. After the active diagnostic codes have been viewed, see the corresponding test procedure in this service manual.Accessing Inactive Diagnostic Codes
Diagnostic codes that are inactive or logged cannot be viewed by using the ET. The diagnostic codes that are inactive must be viewed by using the VIDS. However, the ET must be used in order to clear the inactive diagnostic codes.Clearing An Inactive Diagnostic Code
Note: The following action will clear the diagnostic codes in the VIDS. Inactive diagnostic codes for the implement ECM do not appear on any ET screen. These diagnostic codes only appear on the message center of the VIDS. However, this procedure is the only method that is used to clear the diagnostic codes from the implement ECM.Select the VIDS. Then, select the item "Diagnostics" from the drop-down menu. Then, select the "Logged Diag. Codes" function. Click on the "Include all ECM" button. Again, select "Diagnostics" and then select "Reset VIDS Event List". A diagnostic code that is active can not be cleared. Note: The use of the ET is the only method that is used to clear diagnostic codes that are logged in the implement ECM. This differs from the usual manner of using the ET. The VIDS manages the events of the implement ECM. The implement ECM does not keep the event list.Accessing Parameter Status
After selecting "Implement Control D11", select the "Information" item from the drop-down menu. Then, select the "Status" function. A list of groups will appear. From the list, select the desired group. The present status for the parameters of the selected group will now appear.Accessing Calibration
