AllDescription of Change: The new radio software is now used on all PL522 and 523 radio devices. The new software (PROD_REL- 4.0.2) contains the following enhancements:
Corrected issue in previous software version (PROD_REL- 4.0.1) where input events on digital inputs 6 and 7 are swapped on radio device
Corrected issue in which SIM status was intermittently set to an incorrect status of "Not Ready"
Added wakeup override support in which the device will holdoff shutdown if ignition is off but wakeup override signal is set
Corrected issue in which digital and ignition events were getting missed
Improved boot-up to cell connection time
Corrected issue in which personality reports were missing data
Added improvements to Radio/Gateway connection
Added significant web server access time improvements
Added support for "Number of SIM PIN Entry Attempts Remaining"
Added Site Entry and Exit reporting when ignition is off
Corrected issue in which service meter hours (SMH) would not accrue correctly after Engine ON, following an Engine OFF where the device did not go into low-power mode
Corrected issue of slow-memory leaks causing device restart after several days
Added protection against loss of system log after power cut to every 60 seconds
Increased engineering log storage from 3mb to 5mb
Added serial port configuration to BIT config once-a-day report
Added various Cat ET cellular status improvements
Personality report is now sent out after all cell parameters have been receivedAdaptable To: The new software PROD_REL - 4.0.2 replaces the old software PROD_REL - 4.0.1 or older. The new radio software is adaptable to all Caterpillar products using a Product Link 522/523 Radio.Note: The PL522/523 has to be fully updated by updating both the gateway and the radio. The PL522/523 gateway can be updated via Cat ET. The PL522/523 radio is updated Over-the-Air (OTA) only. There is no capability for updating the PL522 or 523 radio Over-the-Wire (OTW) with Cat ET or WinFlash. Upon the release, firmware version PROD_REL- 4.0.2 will be available by request through VisionLink Support ONLY, and it will not be available in SISweb.
