(M) Motor (Q) Cap
Remove two caps (Q) from the underside of the distributor.

(3) Elbow swivel (U) Plug
Install two elbow swivels (3) in the holes in the underside of the distributor. The side port of the elbow swivel must face in the same direction as the steel plugs (U) in the side of the distributor.

(X) Eyebolt (Y) Bow shackle
Install two eyebolts (X) into two holes that are located on the opposite sides of the upper housing. Install an extra bow shackle (Y) on the lower eyebolt, in order to level the load. Attach a suitable lifting device to tooling (X) and (Y). The weight of the upper housing assembly is approximately 325 kg (717 lb).

(F) Front of lower housing
Position the upper housing assembly on lower housing (B). The "40 mm" holes in the lower housing and in the mounting ring must be in line.Note: The motor of the rotator must face the front (F) of lower housing (B). If the motor of the rotator faces to the back of the lower housing, the machine controls for opening and closing the shells (A) will be reversed.
Install washers (2) over bolts (1) and apply thread lock compound (Z) to the threads of the bolts.

(1) Bolt (2) Washer
Install bolts (1) in the holes of lower housing (B) through the inner pattern of holes in the mounting ring. Tighten the bolts in a cross pattern to a torque of 270 40 N m (200 30 lb ft).Finish Conversion
Install hydraulic cylinder (D) in lower housing (B). Refer to Service Manual, RENR4468, "Hydraulic Cylinder - Remove and Install."

(K) Cap (3) Elbow swivel
Remove caps (K) from elbow swivels (3) .

(H) Hose
Install hose assemblies (H) between the distributor and hydraulic cylinder (D). The top adapters of the hoses must be installed horizontally.Note: Make sure that the hoses do not conflict with any moving parts.Note: The hose from port "A" connects to the cylinder head end. The hose of port "B" connects to the cylinder rod end.
Install all of the covers on lower housing (B). Refer to Service Manual, RENR4468, "Hydraulic Cylinder - Remove and Install".
Install the mounting bracket on the upper housing. Refer to Service Manual, RENR4468, "Mounting Bracket - Remove and Install".

(N) Serial Number Plate (S) Setscrew
Install serial number plate (N) into the holder. Install setscrews (S) .
Install the work tool on the machine. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7659, "Work Tool Installation and Removal".

(L) Lock pin (P) Pin
Remove lock pin (L). Remove pin (P) .

(G) Lubrication fitting
Lubricate the rotator. Rotate the work tool by 90 degrees. Lubricate the rotator again.Note: The new upper housing has two fittings (G). Both fittings must be lubricated.
Lubricate the bearings of hydraulic cylinder (D). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7659, "Bearings (Cylinder Ends) - Lubricate".
Perform functional tests and check for leaks. Refer to Service Manual, RENR4468, "Testing and Adjusting".
