Introduction
New pressure sensors for the engine oil, the gearbox, and the charge pressure are used. The new pressure sensors use improved connectors that increase service life. The new sensors also use an internal orifice that reduces pressure spikes.The new 190-3692 Pressure Sensor was effective with 554 (S/N: 1AM233-UP) and 574 (S/N: 1FM272-UP) Forwarders. The new 190-3692 Pressure Sensor replaces the former 162-8557 Pressure Sensor . The new pressure sensors are adaptable to first production of the machines that are listed.The new pressure sensors use new connectors. The wiring harness of the machine must be modified when you are using the new pressure sensors. Use the following instructions in order to modify the harness.Rework Procedure for the 190-3692 Pressure Sensors that are used for the Engine Oil, Charge Pressure, and Gearbox Pressures

( 2 ) The 102-8809 Connecting Plug Kit that is listed in this kit has been replaced by a 155-2271 Connecting Plug Kit .
Stop the engine. Turn off the battery disconnect switch.
Mark the location of each wire in the connector for each 162-8557 Pressure Sensor that is replaced by a 190-3692 Pressure Sensor . Disconnect the harness from the existing pressure sensors. Cut the wires for the machine harness near the existing connector.
Install one 186-3736 Connector Socket onto each of the wires. Install each wire of the machine harness into the correct pins of the 155-2271 Connecting Plug Kit . Refer to the following table for the correct pin out.

Install the new pressure sensors. Connect the machine harness to the correct pressure sensor.
