Information:

The existing 2-6101 Valve continues to be used in other systems and is still serviced.Installing The Valve Kit
Use these instructions in addition to the schematic shown in the drawing with each kit.
1. Block up the machine, or use the cylinder leg stops if so equipped.2. On the PR-450 and the TR-225B, remove the elevation cylinder lock valve and replace it with the new valve kit. On the PR-750B or PR-1000, disconnect the lines to the elevation cylinder and install the kit. Do not remove the existing lock valve.3. Use the included installation drawing to identify the lines to ensure that the valve is connected correctly. (Note that the new valve is a replacement for the existing valve on the PR-450 and TR-225B, but is to be added to the circuit on the PR-750B and PR-1000.) A way to confirm correct connections is to check operating pressures in what you believe to be the "raise lines": Start the engine and use the controls to raise the machine about 25 mm (1"). If the gauge is installed in the "raise line", the pressures will be about the same as in the following chart. Pressures are with an empty machine and the conveyor straight back. 4. If the gauge is in the "lower line", it will show only about 0 to 690 kPa (0 to 100 psi).Preventing Chatter In The Lock Valve
An orifice valve is included in each kit and is to be installed in the special adapter fitting. See applicable drawing. The orifice plug retards cylinder speed to keep the lock valve from chattering. Chatter can occur if the machine weight, during lowering, forces the elevation cylinder to retract at a faster speed than the pump can supply oil. Therefore, pilot pressure would not be maintained to keep the lock valve open.
The best compromise is to obtain the fastest lowering and raising speed with no chatter. This may require changing the hole size in the orifice plug to match varying flow conditions in each machine. The 2-5114 Plug in the kit for the PR-450 and TR-225B has a 1.58 mm (.062") hole. The 2-5115 Plug in the kit for the PR-750B and PR-1000 has a 2.36 mm (.093") hole.
