Profile Parallel to the Machine

As shown in Illustration 1, the view can be shown parallel to the machine centerline in the direction that the machine is heading (2). When the office configures a window with a profile that is parallel to the machine centerline, the side view of the machine is displayed. In this view, the white line that appears in the plan window (1) represents the profiles. The length of the white line is the same size as the horizontal scale (3) that is shown in the profile window. As the user adjusts the horizontal scale in the profile window, the length of the line in the plan window is adjusted accordingly.Profile Perpendicular to Machine
The office can also configure a profile window with the profile perpendicular to the machine centerline. This view is useful for designs with a cross slope. The perpendicular view provides the operator with a front view of the blade, but the bottom edge of the blade is not displayed.

In the perpendicular profile shown in Illustration 2, the vertical black lines represent the following:
Left side of the blade (4)
Right side of the blade (5) Traces and Legend
Each trace is color-coded. A legend along the horizontal scale of the profile window indicates the surface that is represented by the trace. The color codes can be modified.Table 1 shows a typical color-code setup.
