PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Remove 397-2577 Hose (3) from the 399-2946 Filter Assembly. Refer to Image1.1.1.

2. Loosen and remove the fasteners securing the 399-2946 Filter Assembly (22) to the 399-2948 Hydraulic Tank (1). Remove the filter assembly along with the old seal, plate, and O-ring seal. Refer to Image1.2.1.
Note: The 399-2946 Filter Assembly will be reused. The hardware, seal, plate, and O-ring will be replaced with components in the 450-2440 Filter Seal Kit. Refer to Image1.3.1.

3. Install the new 2M-2561 O-Ring Seal (6) into the groove in the new 450-2438 Plate (5). Slide new 450-2437 Seal (4) along with the plate and O-ring assembly over the filter assembly. Refer to Image1.3.1.
4. Install the filter assembly and new seal kit components into the the hydraulic tank. Install 7X-2537 Bolt (1), 372-1078 Washer (2), and 8T-4224 Washer (3) and tighten to a specified torque of 20 N.m. Refer to Image1.3.1.

5. Re-install 397-2577 Hose (3) to the 399-2946 Filter Assembly and tighten the fittings to a specified torque of 10 +/- 2 N.m. Refer to Image1.1.1.
