If 9U-7239 Sealant is used, cut the cartridge nozzle so that a 1.5 mm (.06 in) to 3.0 mm (.12 in) bead can be injected into the area behind the window seal.1. Remove the window glass for framed sliding window from the window seal.2. Remove the window seal material from the cab sheet metal.3. Clean the area of the window seal with 9U-6917 Adhesive Cleaner to remove all dirtand debris.4. Clean and inspect the original seal. Install the original seal into the cab sheet metal. Make sure the ends of the seal are at the bottom and center of the window. The original seal material should be replaced if it shows signs of damage or has any gap between the ends of the seal (butt joint).5. Install the glass or window frame into the window seal and zip the window seal locking lip into place.

Insert the nozzle of the applicator gun behind the edge of the window seal and inject reseal sealant into the area between the seal and the cab sheet metal between Locations X and Y along the top of the windows, around the top corner radius and down approximately 150.0 mm (5.90 in) on each side of the window seal. The reseal sealant should fill any voids caused by warped or undersized sheet metal.

The reseal sealant should be applied along the bottom of the seal, around the corner radius and all along the bottom edge of the glass between Locations R and S.

Apply reseal sealant only on the fixed glass portion of the sliding window. Do not apply reseal sealant between the sliding window and fixed frame.9. After applying reseal sealant to the window seal, clean all excess sealant from the window using 9U-6917 Adhesive Cleaner.10. Avoid high pressure wash or steam for one hour. Low pressure water leakage test may be applied after 15 minutes.
