Rework Procedure
1. Before removal of the top cover check if the fill nozzle is centered in the hole in the top counterweight cover. Refer to Image1.1.1. If it is not centered, then measure the difference on either side, then calculate the distance and direction by which it has to be moved to centralize it.
Note: It may be required to remove the hood group and brackets in order to remove the cover.
2. Remove the top cover by unbolting 12 8T-0722 M10 Bolts.

3. Loosen the 3K-6060 Nut (3/8-16) and take the eye bolt out from the slot.
4. Insert a 6V-8801 Nut (3/8-16), add an 8T-4121 Washer to the eye bolt, then rotate the nut to the very end of the eye bolt.
5. Move the tank in the direction and distance calculated in previous step to keep fill nozzle centered with the top cover.
6. Insert the eye bolt through the slot on the counterweight and insert the washer and nut from the end. Tighten the nut to a specified torque of 30 N.m so that it adds tension to the strap. Ensure that the inside nut does not tighten and obstruct the pull during the torquing operation.
7. Prevent rotation of the eye bolt and tighten the inside nut to standard torque.
Repeat the same steps on the second strap.

8. There will be two shims with a 553-5754 Chamfer. They are placed on each side of the fuel tank, the chamfer will face the sheet metal. The chamfer is to allow clearance for the counterweight bend radius and welds. The rest of the gap is filled with the flat 553-5753 Sheets until there is a gap of -2 to 6.35mm between the fuel tank high point and the shim. Refer to Image1.3.1.

9. Assemble the top cover with 12 8T-0722 Bolts (M10).
10. Assemble the hood group brackets and hood. Align the rollers on the spring with the guide way on the hood. Refer to Image1.4.1.
