Introduction
This Special Instruction gives the procedure to adjust the pedal stop for 354-6127 Adjustable Steering Column Gp after replacement of 358-2573 Gas Spring Kit.Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information.Safety Section

Personal injury or death can result from improper maintenance procedures. To avoid injury or death, follow the procedures exactly as stated below.
Installation Procedure

(1) Pedal stop bolt
(2) Counter nut
(3) Mounting plate

Assemble counter nut (2) on the pedal stop bolt (1), then insert the pedal stop on the plate until pedal stop bolt head is positioned 12 mm (0.5 inch) (A) above the mounting plate (3).
Check if the tilting function is working well with the column in both directions throughout the full range of motion. If the tilt function is good throughout the full range of motion, proceed to Step 4. If not, proceed to Step 3.
Screw in the pedal stop bolt by one complete turn and check if the tilting function is working well throughout the full range of motion. If the tilt function is good throughout the full range of motion, proceed to Step 4. If not, repeat Step 3.
Apply bolt adhesive and tighten the counter nut while holding the stop bolt in position.
Check if the tilting function is working well with the column throughout the full range of motion.
