Engine News SEBD9962, 3 October 2014, "A New Ignition Transformer Group Is Available For Certain G3500C, G3500E, and G3600 Engines". Disregard the previous article, the effective serial number list has been updated.The new ignition transformer group available is made with a new epoxy potting material. The new epoxy potting material helps reduce vibration and pressure issues that can cause damage. Damage to the ignition transformer group can cause an event code and cold cylinder condition.The new 438-5682 Ignition Transformer Gp replaces the existing 310-3180 Ignition Transformer Gp. The new ignition transformer group is adaptable back to first production of the serial numbers listed above.Table 1 contains the effective serial numbers for this change.
