Information:

40. Install output shaft (53) in the No. 2, 3 and 4 planet carrier. Install the number 4 sun gear and number 3 sun gear (54) on the output shaft. Install spiral snap ring (52) that holds the sun gears on the output shaft. 41. Use tooling (B) to install the bearing in cage (57) with notch (56) up, as shown. Install spiral snap ring (55) that holds the bearing in place. 42. Install cage (57) on the number 2 sun gear with notch (56) in alignment with dowel (58). 43. Install number 1 sun gear (60) on the number 2 sun gear and install spiral snap ring (59) that holds the sun gears together. 44. Install the number 1 and 2 sun gears and cage on the planet carrier and install the locks and bolts that hold the cage in place. 45. Install a 7/16"-14 NC forged eyebolt in the output shaft and fasten a hoist. Install ring gear (61) on the planet carrier and put the planet carrier in position on the transmission. 46. Install ring (63) on the piston for the number three clutch and put clean oil on the ring. Install piston (62) in the number three clutch housing. 47. Install clutch discs (65) and clutch plates (64) for the number three clutch. Start and stop with a clutch disc. 48. Install plate (66) on the transmission in its original position. 49. Install ring gear (68) and springs (69). Install clutch discs (70) and clutch plates for the number four clutch. Start and stop with a clutch disc. Put manifold (67) in position and install the locks and bolts that hold it. 50. Install rings (72) on the piston for the number four clutch and on the number four clutch housing. Put clean oil on the rings. Install number four piston (71) in the number four clutch housing. 51. Install tooling (C) to hold the piston in the clutch housing. Turn the clutch housing over and install two 1/2"-13 NC forged eyebolts in the clutch housing. Fasten a hoist and install number two clutch housing (74) on the transmission. Remove tooling (C) and be sure all springs (69) are engaged in the holes in the number 3 and 4 pistons.52. Be sure O-ring seal (73) is in place on top of the number four clutch housing. 53. Use tooling (B) to install the bearing in manifold (77) with notch (76) down as shown. Install spiral snap ring (75) that holds the bearing in place. 54. If carrier (78) was removed from number five clutch housing (79), heat the new carrier to a temperature of 280°F to 330°F (138°C to 166°C) for a maximum time of ten minutes. Install the carrier on the clutch housing so the part number on the carrier can be seen after it is installed. Also install the carrier with one of the grooves in the carrier in alignment with the pin hole in the clutch housing. Install pin (80) that
