Introduction
Follow this procedure in order to adjust the transmission control linkage.Adjustment Procedure
Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location.
Lower the implements. Engage the parking brake. Turn the engine OFF.
Remove the seat and the plate that is under the seat from the operator station.

Remove nut (2). Remove nut (4). Position control rod (1) and control rod (3) out of the way. Disconnect hose (18). Remove nuts (16). Position tube (17) out of the way. Remove bolts (8). Remove plate (7) .
Rotate cam (6) for the direction spool clockwise in order to position the cam in the REVERSE position.
Rotate the top of cam (5) for the speed spool toward the rear of the machine in order to position the cam in the NEUTRAL position.

Note: Before adjustments are made, make sure that nuts (9), (10) and (12) are tightened to a torque of 34 4 N m (25 3 lb ft).
Loosen the nut on direction spool (14). Adjust the length of spool (14) in order to position the end of the spool even with face (A) of housing (13). Tighten the nut on the spool to 34 4 N m (25 3 lb ft).
Loosen the nut on speed spool (11). Adjust the length of spool (11) in order to position the end of the spool even with face (B) of housing (13). Tighten the nut on the spool to 34 4 N m (25 3 lb ft).

Rotate cam (6) for the direction spool counterclockwise in order to position the cam in the FORWARD position.
Make sure that cam (5) is in the NEUTRAL position.

Position transmission control lever (15) in the FORWARD position of the NEUTRAL slot.

Adjust rod (3) so that the distance from pin to pin is 292.2 1.5 mm (11.5 0.06 inch). Adjust rod (1) so that the distance from the face of the rod and the face of the rod end 17 1 mm (0.67 0.04 inch). Tighten the locknuts to a torque of 12 4 N m (106 35 lb in).
Use nut (2) in order to connect rod (1) to cam (6). Adjust rod (1) so the transmission control lever stays in the FORWARD position.
Use nut (4) in order to connect rod (3) to cam (5). Adjust rod (3) so the transmission control lever stays in the NEUTRAL position.
Use bolts (8) in order to secure plate (7) to the top of the transmission case. Use nuts (16) in order to secure tube (17) to the top of the plate. Connect line (18) .
Check the operation of the transmission control lever. Install the plate that is under the seat and the seat of the operator's station. Prepare the machine for service.
