G3516 (3RC, 4EK, 8LD) EnginesDescription of Change: A new clamp assembly, with centering ring and teflon coated O-ring, provides improved wear resistance. The new clamp assembly reduces vibration of the oil tube because of its increased holding ability over the former retainer. The new clamps also keep the tube centered on the flange. The new teflon coated O-ring is also more durable and leak resistant. Adaptable To: See the chart for a list of parts required to install one new clamp assembly. The new clamp assembly will not fit in some locations. In these cases, use the former 8N-1992 Retainer, 8N-1991 Ring, and a new 109-2332 O-ring.Assembly Instructions:
Installing clamp assembly onto oil tube. (1) O-ring. (2) Ring. (3) Clamp. (4) Bolt. (5) Nut. (6) Washer. (7) Bolt. (8) Washer.1. Install O-ring (1) and ring (2).2. Assemble two clamps (3) onto tube using bolts (4), washers (6) and nut (5). Do not fully tighten bolts.3. Install bolts (7) and washers (8) through clamp assembly into the adapter and tighten to 47 N m (34 lb ft). When installing the new clamps, if the bosses do not line up with the adapter bolts holes, rotate and/or flip the clamps 180 degrees to align the bosses with the bolt holes.4. Tighten bolts (4) to 47 N m (34 lb ft).
