The vibratory system uses three quick-disconnect couplings to join the two systems together. System operation is similar for any given screed mounted to the tractor.When the engine is running, charge pump (10) generates flow. Supply oil flows to vibratory and charge manifold (1). The oil flow is divided into three branches inside vibratory and charge manifold. The first branch flows to flow compensator valve (13). The second branch flows to the material feed cold-start circuit comprised of cold-start dump valve (15) and cold-start solenoid valve (14). The last branch flows to vibratory control valve (8).When the vibratory system is off, the vibratory solenoid is not energized. In this case, supply oil does not flow through vibratory control valve (8). Under these conditions, the vibratory motors do not rotate.When the vibratory system is off, supply oil acts to open flow compensator valve (13) fully. In this case, full charge pump (10) flow is sent to charge filter (19) and on to the material feed system. When a screed is connected, check valve (5) on the screed blocks oil back-flow into the screed.

In this case, a large portion of supply oil flows through the valve and on to the vibratory motor circuit of the screed. Under these conditions, vibratory motors (6), (7), (21), and (22) rotate.When the vibratory system is enabled, oil pressure from vibratory control valve (8) is used as pilot pressure for flow compensator valve (13). The pilot pressure acts to close the flow compensator valve. When the compensator valve closes, more charge pump oil is directed through the vibratory system before continuing to charge filter (19) and material feed system.Relief valve (2) protects
