Move the track assembly until master pin (D) is in the approximate position, as shown. (Refer to Illustration 4.) Put Track Block Assembly (3) under the track grouser, as shown. Move the track onto the tool.

Personal injury can result from the track coming off of the roller frame.The track can move off the track roller frame very quickly when a separation of the track is made.Keep away from the front of the machine when the track is removed from the track roller frame.
Note: The track bushings will fall out of the track links when the track assembly is separated.
Remove cotter pin (E) from the master pin. Use a hammer and a punch to remove master pin (D) from the track links. Separate the track links, and locate the two track bushings. Move the machine forward in order to remove the track assembly from the sprocket, the track carrier rollers and the front idler.
Fasten a hoist to the rear of the track assembly. Raise the track assembly from Tool (A), and remove the tool from the track assembly. Lower the rear of the track assembly to the floor.Preparing the Machine for the Rubber Track

Remove the shaded area of the guard plate, as shown. (Refer to Illustration 6.)

Recoil spring
Install 5I-9280 Spacer in the recoil spring, as shown. (Refer to Illustration 7.)
Install the rubber track. Refer to ""Installing the Rubber Track"".Installing the Rubber Track
Note: If the rubber track is a one-piece track, raise one side of the machine off the ground. Support the machine with suitable jack stands. Release the tension on the idlers and install the track. After the track is installed, return the idlers to the original position. Lower the track to the ground and repeat the procedure for the other track.

Install 1P-7409 Eyebolt (5) in the rubber track link, as shown. (Refer to Illustration 8.) Use 2J-3506 Full Nut (6) to hold the eyebolt in position.Note: Only the 1P-3559 Hook Assembly which is part of the 1P-3545 Chain Coupling Tool Group is used in the following steps.
Start the machine. Slowly move the sprocket forward until the track assembly is pulled up on the sprocket and the end of the rubber track assembly is forward of a vertical centerline through the center of the sprocket. Remove 1P-3559 Hook Assembly .

Install Carrier Bar (2) between the first bushing in the rubber track link and the sprocket, as shown.
Move the sprocket forward. Use Carrier Bar (2) to guide the rubber track assembly over the carrier roller and the front idler.

Slowly move the machine forward until the separation in the rubber track assembly is below a horizontal line through the center of the front idler.
Apply 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease on bushings (F).
