NUT-HAND 1D4374 - Caterpillar

1. Remove six bolts (2) and washers.2. Remove adapter assembly (1) and O-ring. Check O-ring for wear or damage. Replace if necessary. 3. Remove gear (3).4. If necessary, remove pin (4). 5. Remove bearing (5) from adapter assembly (1) if necessary. 6. Remove bearing (6) from the flywheel housing if necessary. 7. Remove six bolts (8) and washers. Reposition wiring harness (7).8. Remove adapter assembly (9) and O-ring from the flywheel housing. Check both the bearing and the O-ring for wear or damage. Replace if necessary. 9. Remove pin (10) if necessary.10. Remove gear (11) from the flywheel housing. 11. Remove bearing (12) from flywheel housing if necessary.

If necessary, remove the bearings from the two gears. 17. Gear (16) (not shown) was removed at the same time as the flywheel was removed.
