Some early 3500 Family Mechanical Unit Injection (MUI) injectors have been cancelled and replaced by newer injectors. Repair parts for the cancelled MUI injectors are no longer available. Refer to Table 1 for the affected part numbers. Replacement of these injectors in certain marine applications may require the engine governor to be changed. When the new injectors are used in conjunction with the 7N-6168 Governor Gp or with the 1W-0516 Governor Gp, instability of the engine RPM can occur. If instability occurs, convert the existing governor into the corresponding governor in Table 2.Note: The following part numbers will be cancelled when the parts inventory has been exhausted: OR-1757 Fuel Injector As, 0R-2781 Fuel Injector As and 0R-3252 Fuel Injector As. When this material is consumed, the replacement will become effective. For all of the other part numbers, the replacements are currently effective, or the replacements will take effect when the parts inventory has been exhausted.
