Remove And Install Planetary Carrier Of Clutch Shaft
start by: a) remove idler gears 1. Install two guide bolts and two 3/8"-16 NC forcing screws in cage and remove bolts and cage (1) from case. 2. Remove planetary carrier assembly (2) from winch case. 3. Remove bolts (4) and plates (5) from bearing cage.4. Remove gear (3).5. Install two 3/8"-16 NC forcing screws in cage (6) and remove cage from bevel gear bearings.6. The following procedure is for the installation of the planetary carrier assembly. 7. Install bearing cage (6) in housing.8. Put gear (3) in position on bearing cage (6) and install four plates (5) and bolts (4). Tighten bolts to a torque of 55 7 N m (41 5 lb.ft.). 9. Install the planetary carrier assembly (2) in position in the ring gear. A hoist can be used for installation.10. 1. Remove gear (2) and bearing (1) from carrier assembly with tooling (A). 2. Use a hammer and punch to move pin (6) to the center of shaft (3). Remove shaft (3). 3. Remove gear assembly and two washers (7) from carrier assembly. Remove two bearings (5) from gear (4).Assemble Planetary Carrier Of Clutch Shaft
1. Install bearings (1) in gear (2). 2. Put two washers (3) and gear assembly in position in carrier. 3. Install shaft (5) and pin (4) in position in carrier. 4. Put gear (7) on carrier assembly and heat bearing to a temperature of 135°F (275°C). Install bearing (6).end by:a) install planetary carrier of clutch shaft
