Allow the engine to cool before removing the radiator filler cap and remove the cap slowly to release pressure from the system. DO NOT add coolant until the engine is cool.
Oil Pressure (2.) - indicates the pressure of the engine oil in kilopascals (kPa). When the engine is started with the oil cold the gauge should register approximately 500 kPa with the engine at low idle. As the oil warms up the pressure will fall. The normal operating pressure (engine running at operating speeds) should not fall below 165 kPa. If the engine oil pressure falls below 55 kPa the warning indicator should illuminate.With the oil hot and the engine running at low idle the pressure gauge will indicate close to zero. This is normal providing the indicator does not illuminate. If it does, stop the machine immediately and investigate. Do not operate the machine with low engine oil pressure. Voltmeter (3.) - indicates the charge condition of the machine batteries. If the batteries are in good condition and fully charged the gauge should indicate 24 volts when the electrical circuits are switched on. If a heavy electrical load is applied to the batteries (extended periods of cranking for example) the voltmeter reading will fall. However, the reading should return to normal (24 volts) after a period of normal operation. If the battery voltage remains low have the charging circuit and the battery condition checked. Air Pressure (1.) - indicates the air pressure in the tractor service brake reservoir. 2. Air Pressure - indicates the air pressure in the trailer service brake reservoir. Both gauges are calibrated in kilopascals (kPa).Both gauges should register between 650 kPa and 850 kPa if the air system is correctly charged. If the air pressure falls below 500 kPa on either gauge a warning buzzer will sound. Low air pressure is indicated by the red zone on the gauges. If either gauge indicates low air pressure, or if the warning buzzer sounds, the machine must be stopped and taken out of service until the fault is corrected. Tachometer (3.) - indicates the engine speed in revolutions per minute (r.p.m.). The gauge is calibrated in steps of 100 r.p.m. The normal operating range is the orange zone. The red zone indicates severe engine overspeed. 4. Service Hour Meter - indicates the number of hours the engine has been running. Use the service hour meter to establish service interval. 5. Speedometer (if equipped) - indicates the road speed of the machine in miles per hour and kilometres per hour. The outer scale is miles per hour. The inner scale is kilometres per hour.Indicators
