Remove the current bracket and related hardware from the engine.
Install stud (7) with hard washer (6) .
Install bracket (1) with spacer (2) onto the engine.
Install spacer (8) onto stud (7) .
Install bolts (9) through bracket (1) and spacer (8) .
Install bolt (3) with washer (4) .
Install studs (5) into the engine bosses.
Install spacers (3) onto studs (5) .
Hand tighten bolts and nuts one through six. Refer to Illustration 1 for the proper torque sequence.
Tighten bolt (4) and nuts (5), in the proper sequence, to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft)
Tighten stud (7) and bolts (9), in the proper sequence, to a torque of 60 5 N m (44 4 lb ft)
Repeat Step 10 and Step 11.
Paint the new hardware with Caterpillar yellow.
