LOCATION OF COMPRESSOR

LOCATION OF CONDENSOR COIL
2. Condenser coil.The magnetic field pulls the drive plate against the clutch and pulley assembly. The clutch and pulley assembly will then turn shaft (11) to operate the compressor. When the current to the coil is stopped, the magnetic field is removed. This lets the drive plate move away from the clutch and pulley assembly. The clutch and pulley assembly will then turn freely on bearing (12). The sequence of connecting and disconnecting the pulley to the compressor shaft is called compressor cycling. The compressor cycling is controlled by the thermostat. The thermostat is controlled by its capillary tube which is installed between the fins of the evaporator coil.
