Disconnect the harness assembly from service meter (3). Remove bolts (4) and service meter (3).
Disconnect the harness assembly from tachometer drive (1). Remove bolts (2) and tachometer drive (1).
Remove the O-ring seal from tachometer drive (1).

Remove bolts (5), cover assembly (6), and the gasket. Remove the shaft from cover assembly (6).

Remove lip seal (8) from cover assembly (6). If necessary, remove bearing (7) and the dowels from cover assembly (6).

Remove bolt (10) and adapter (9). Installation Procedure
Install tachometer drive (1) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolt (10) to a torque of 360 40 N m (270 30 lb ft). Tap the adapter with a hammer. Tighten bolt (10) again to a torque of 360 40 N m
