Start By:a. remove steering pumpb. remove transmission oil pump*c. remove stub shaft group*See POWER TRAIN DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY section. 1. Disconnect oil line (1) from the pump drive. Disconnect line (2) at the fitting. 2. Disconnect oil line (3) from the pump drive. Remove the bracket on the side of the pump drive that holds tube assembly. 3. Remove bracket (4) from the pump drive support. 4. Remove bolts (5) from bottom support bracket. 5. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to the pump drive support. Remove the bolts that hold support to machine frame. Remove pump drive and support (6) as a unit. The weight of the pump drive is 225 kg (500 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the pump drive.6. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to support (6) and pump drive. Position the pump drive and support on the machine and install the top support bolts.7. Install bottom support bolts (5).8. Install bracket (4).9. Install the bracket that holds tube assembly on the side of the pump drive. Connect oil line (3) to the pump drive.10. Connect oil line (1) to the pump drive. Start By:a. remove pump drive 1. Remove tube assembly (1) from the pump drive. 2. Fasten a hoist and remove bracket assembly (2) from the pump drive. The weight is 32 kg (70 lb). 3. Remove bracket assembly (3) from the pump drive. 4. Remove input yoke (6) from the pinion gear.5. Remove adapters (4) and (5) from the gears. 6. Remove the bolts that hold bearing cages (7), (8), and (9) to the pump drive cover. Install two 3/8" - 16 NC forcing screws and remove bearing cages (7), (8) and (9) from the pump drive cover. Keep the shims and cages together for installation purposes. 7. Remove bearing cones (10) with tooling (A) from the bearing cages. 8. Remove lip type seals (11) and (12) from bearing cage (9). Remove the O-ring seal from the bearing cage. 9. Remove lip type seal (13) from bearing cage (8). Remove the O-ring seal from the bearing cage.10. Remove the O-ring seal from bearing cage (7). 11. Remove the bolts that hold cover (14) to the case. Install two 3/8" - 16 NC forged eyebolts in the cover. Fasten a hoist and remove cover (14) from the case. The weight of the cover is 27 kg (60 lb). 12. Put identification on the gears for correct installation. Remove gears (15), (16) and (17) from the case. 13. Remove the bearing cones from each side of gears (15), (16) and (17) with tooling (B). 14. Remove bearing cups (18) from the case.Assemble Pump Drive
1. Make sure all parts are clean. Inspect all O-ring seals and make replacements if needed. 2. Lower the temperature of bearing cups (1), (2) and (3). Install the bearing cups
