The earlier valve groups can be updated to the new 100-2883 Grapple Valve Group (Engineering Change 03) by completing Steps 1 through 7 below.
Refer to Illustration 2 only.1. Remove and save 116-7891 Valve Group (11).2. Remove and save four 3S-1546 Nuts (7).3. Remove former 115-9731 Valve Group (2).4. Replace 115-9731 Valve Group (2) with new 115-9730 Valve Group (2).5. Replace four 3S-1546 Nuts (7) and tighten the nuts to a torque of 75 N m (55 lb ft).6. Install new 116-7887 Valve Group (1) into 115-9730 Valve Group (2) and tighten to a torque of 50 N m (37 lb ft).7. Install removed 116-7891 Valve Group (11) into 115-9730 Valve Group (2) and tighten to a torque of 50 N m (37 lb ft).

Replace former 115-9731 Valve Group (14) with new 115-9730 Valve Group (14).5. Replace four 3S-1546 Nuts (21) and tighten to a torque of 75 N m (55 lb ft).6. Install new 116-7887 Valve Group (15) into 115-9730 Valve Group (14) and tighten to a torque of 50 N m (37 lb ft).7. Install removed 116-7891 Valve Group (22) into 115-9730 Valve Group (14) and tighten to a torque of 50 N m (37 lb ft).
