Right Operator Display (13) Operator display (14) Machine direction icon (15) Actual machine speed (16) Target machine speedEach instrument panel is equipped with operator display (13). The display communicates with the ECMs on the machine through CAN "A". When the display is on the operator screen, the upper information banner shows propel data.Machine direction icon (14) indicates the target machine direction. Actual machine speed (15) is shown to the right of the machine direction icon. Target machine speed (16) is shown to the right of the target icon. In the maneuver and pave modes, speed is displayed in meters per minute or feet per minute. In travel mode, speed is displayed in kilometers per hour or miles per hour. Machine speed units depend on the display units chosen.

Set Hill Mode (17) Machine icon (18) Operator screen (19) Machine screen (20) Settings screen (21) Propel screen (22) Hill Hold screenThe machine control system is programmed with hill-mode logic. This logic prevents the machine from rolling backwards on steep inclines during the transition between neutral and forward while in pave mode. The operator can use the display to enable or disable the hill-mode logic. When this logic is enabled, the transmission ECM does not release the parking brake until one of the following conditions are met:
The propel calibration offset current is achieved.
The duration of the rollback brake timer has elapsed.Hill-mode logic allows the pressure in the propel circuit to increase before the parking brake is released. Since this action increases wear on the parking brake, the feature should only be enabled while the machine is paving on steep slopes. The operator can change the status of the hill-mode logic with the following steps:
Select machine icon (17) from operator screen (18) .
Select "Settings" from the "Machine" screen (19) .
Select "Propel" from the "Settings" screen (20) .
Select "Hill Hold" from the "Propel" screen (21).
Select "Enable" or "Disable" from the "Hill Hold" screen (22), and then, select "OK".Note: The up and down arrows on the right side of the screen allow the operator to highlight the available options. The "OK" key confirms the selected option.

Bottom of Left Operator Panel (23) Left propel override switch (24) Right propel override switchThe machine is equipped with one left propel override switch (23) and one right propel override switch (24). The propel override switches are only located on the left operator control console. A cover (shown removed) on the rear of the left operator control console provides access to these switches. These switches can be used to move the machine in case of an ECM failure. A decal indicates the switch positions. The propel override switches are momentary toggle switches with three positions. The top position of each switch is the FORWARD position. The bottom position of each switch is the REVERSE position. The propel override switches will spring return to the center HOLD position from the FORWARD position and from the REVERSE position.
