"FLOAT" Key - The "FLOAT" key is used by the operator to ARM the "Blade Float" feature or the "FLOAT" key is used by the operator to turn OFF the "Blade Float"feature. When the "Blade Float" feature is used, the only downward force on the blade is the weight of the blade. This key will enter the number "9" when a numerical entry is required. Note: "BLADE FLOAT" requires two steps in order to turn on the feature. The first step is referred to as arming "FLOAT" and the second step is referred to as activating "FLOAT". If the "Blade Float" feature is turned OFF and the "FLOAT" key is pressed, the Blade Float LED will be turned ON and the following text will be displayed on the message center:

BLADE FLOAT CONTROL        
IS ARMED        After arming the "Blade Float" feature, the operator must then use the Blade Control Handle to activate the feature. To activate the "Blade Float" feature, the Blade Control Handle is moved to the full lower position. The Blade Control Handle can then be returned to the HOLD position.

       Moving the Blade Control Handle to the raise position will deactivate "FLOAT". While the feature is armed, the feature can be repeatedly activated and deactivated. The following message is displayed if the "AUTOPitch" feature is NOT ON:

       The following message is displayed if the "AUTOPitch" feature is ON and the machine is in a "FORWARD" or "NEUTRAL" gear:

REDY TO CARY        
       The following message is displayed if the "AUTOPitch" feature is ON and the machine is in a "REVERSE" gear:

       To turn OFF the "Blade Float" feature, press the "FLOAT" key again. This will turn off the Blade Float LED and the message center will display the message that is shown below:

IS NOW OFF        Note: The "FLOAT" feature is temporarily suspended when the Ripper is activated.Note: When the "FLOAT" feature is activated, all "AUTOBlade Assist" functions will be overridden.Note: If the "FLOAT" feature is active prior to activating the "ABA" feature, the "ABA" feature is temporarily suspended.Note: If activation of the "FLOAT" feature is not possible, the Blade Control Handle may be out of calibration.
