start by:a) separation of tracks
Be sure the machine is on solid, level ground before the service work is started.
1. Remove four guards (1) from track roller frame (2). 2. Put tooling (A) in position under main frame support (3) and the bevel gear case as shown. Use tooling (A) to lift the side of the machine approximately .125 in. (3.2 mm).3. Remove two bolts (5) and shims (4). 4. Remove eight bolts (6) which fasten the main frame support to the track roller frame. 5. Remove seven bolts (8) and nuts which fasten winch frame support (7) to the track roller frame. 6. Remove four bolts (10) which fasten bracket (9) to the track roller frame. Remove the shims from between the bracket and roller frame. 7. Remove four bolts (11) which fasten support (12) to the track roller frame. Be sure dowels (13) in support (12) come loose from the track roller frame when the machine is lifted. 8. Adjust tooling (B) to a height of approximately 26 in. (66 cm). Use tooling (A) to lift the machine evenly until tooling (B) can be installed as shown. 9. Adjust the height of tooling (C) to approximately 34 in. (86.4 cm). Install tooling (C) as shown. Use tooling (A) to lower the machine evenly on to tooling (B) and (C).10. Roll the track roller frame forward on the track until it is clear of the machine. The weight of the track roller frame is 2100 lb. (945 kg).Install Track Roller Frames
1. Put track roller frame (1) on the track as shown. Roll the track roller frame into position under the machine. 2. Use tooling (A) to lift the machine evenly until tooling (B) and (C) can be removed. Lower the machine evenly on to the track roller frame. Be sure the dowels (3) on support (2) go into the dowel holes in the roller frame. Install the four bolts which fasten support (2) to the track roller frame. See ALIGNMENT OF TRACK ROLLER FRAME in SPECIFICATIONS. 3. Install shims (5) between bracket (4) and the track roller frame. Install the four bolts which fasten the bracket to the track roller frame. 4. Install but do not tighten eight bolts (6) which fasten main frame support (7) to the track roller frame. 5. Install shims (9) between the main frame support and the track roller frame. See ALIGNMENT OF TRACK ROLLER FRAME in SPECIFICATIONS. Install two bolts (8). Tighten the eight bolts which were started in Step 4. Remove tooling (A). 6. Install seven bolts (11) and nuts which fasten winch frame support (10) to the track roller frame. 7.
