In the "Available" pane, scroll down to and select "Coordinate System" (2), and click the "Add" button (3). Refer to Illustration 2.

(4) "Import From DC" button
Once the "Coordinate System" (2) selection appears in the "Contents" box, click the "Import From DC" button (4). Refer to Illustration 3.

Select the ".dc" file that you wish to import the coordinate system from. Click the "Open" button. Refer to Illustration 4.Note: The ".dc" file is provided by the on-site survey department. The ".dc" file is not provided by Caterpillar.

(5) "Save" button
Check that the "Coordinate System" fields have been populated with the desired settings. Refer to Illustration 5.Note: Do not adjust any of the other settings in the file. These settings are crucial for correct system operation.
Select "Save" button (5) in order to update the application file with the desired settings.Note: The application files can be renamed to any name with eight characters or less.
The application file has now been created. Refer to ""Uploading an Application File"" section within this document to send the file to the receiver.Uploading an Application File
One of the following two methods can be used to upload the application file to the GPS receiver:
Interface Module
Configuration ToolboxInterface Module
The interface module can be accessed via a physical connection or by entering the IP address of the module if the interface module is connected to a wireless radio network.Use the following method to upload an application file using the interface module:
Connect to the interface module.
Access the "Configuration Menu" on the web page.

(6) "GPS Receivers"
Click "GPS Receivers" (6). Refer to Illustration 6.

(7) "Browse" button
Click the "Browse" button (7), navigate, and locate the ".CFG" file that was created. Refer to Illustration 7.

(8) "Upload to ECM"
After selecting the correct ".CFG" file, click "Upload to ECM" (8). Refer to Illustration 8.A notification will appear at the bottom of the window indicating that the file was loaded onto the interface module.

(9) "Flash to GPS Receiver(s)"
Click "Flash to GPS Receiver(s)" (9). Refer to Illustration 9.A notification will appear at the bottom of the window indicating that the file was loaded onto the GPS receiver. The "Failed to Upload APP File to Slave Receiver" dialog will appear if the machine is NOT equipped with dual GPS.The application file is now uploaded onto the device.Configuration Toolbox
Note: The 245-7310 Control Harness As is required to upload the application file into the interface module when using Configuration Toolbox.Perform the following procedure to configure application files:
Launch Configuration Toolbox.
Open the application file that you wish to upload to the receiver.

(10) "Transmit" button
Check that the "Coordinate System" fields have been populated with the desired settings. Refer to Illustration 10.
Click "Transmit" button (10) in order to upload the application.The application file is now uploaded onto the device.
