start by:a) remove shear assembly 1. Fasten a cable (1) or a chain to the link on the tip cylinder and the tow eye on the machine. Start the machine and extend the arm until the cable is tight. Lower the boom so the arm is on the ground. 2. Slowly open valves (2) on the tip cylinder to release all the oil pressure in the tip cylinder. Tighten valves (2) when the oil pressure is released. 3. Disconnect grease line (3) from the eye of the arm cylinder rod.4. Remove bolt (4) that holds the pin in the arm. 5. Fasten a strap (5) to the boom and arm cylinder as shown. Fasten a second strap and a hoist or lift truck to the arm cylinder as shown.6. Fasten a hoist to tooling (A) and install the tooling on pin (6). Use tooling (A) to remove pin (6) from the eye of the arm cylinder. Start the machine and retract the arm cylinder until it is clear of the arm. 7. Start the machine and lift the boom until cable (1) is loose. Remove cable (1) and lower the boom as far as possible. 8. Remove the eight bolts that hold guards (7) in place and remove the two guards from the arm. 9. Remove clamps (8) from the lines on the arm.10. Remove wire ties (9) from the wire harness.11. Put identification on oil line (10) and disconnect them from the lines on the arm. Put plugs and caps on the oil lines. 12. Remove the four bolts that hold guard (11) to the boom and remove the guard. 13. Disconnect wire harness (12) for the lights on the arm. 14. Remove bolt (13) and the cap from both sides of the boom. 15. Remove seals (14) at the shear end of the arm. 16. Put cables (15) through the pin bores in the arm for the shear assembly and the arm cylinder. Fasten cables (15) to a hoist. For extra safety use a lift truck to lift the arm also.17. Fasten a hoist to tooling (B) and install the tooling on the pin that holds the arm to the boom. Use tooling (B) to remove the pin. Remove arm (16) from the boom. Weight is approximately 1575 kg (3500 lb.).Install Arm
1. Fasten cables and a hoist to arm (3) and put it in position on the boom. Weight is approximately 1575 kg (3500 lb.). Use a lift truck for more support.2. Put a washer (2) in position on both sides of the arm and install pin (1) through the boom, washers and arm. 3. Put a cap (4) in position on both ends of the pin and install the bolts that hold the caps in place. 4. Connect wire harness (5) to the harness on the boom. Wire harness (5) is for the lights on the arm. 5. Put guard (6) in position on the boom and install the bolts that hold it in place.
